Product Description
? Ingrown toenails are called onychocryptosis. This is a common condition in which the edge of the toenail grows into the skin of the toe, or the skin of the side of the toe grows over the toenail. While any toe may be affected, it is most common in the big toe. Wearing tight shoes, keeping toenails trimmed too short or rounding toenails may increase your chance of developing ingrown toenails. Dr. Scholl's Ingrown Toenail Pain Reliever relieve ingrown toenail pain at home. Medicated gel quickly penetrates to soften nail, foam ring and bandage cushion and protect affected area.
Customer Reviews
No pain releif
I was disappointed to find that not only was there no pain relief with this product, it has a horrific odor. Outgro, which I believe is made by the same company, at least numbs the pain, but I haven't been able to find it. This product was disappointing; however, the manufacturer does offer a refund within 90 days if you are not satisfied. I intend to get one.

Be patient
It does help alot. The first two days no relief in pain, but by day 3 no pain and at day 5 the toenail had softened enough I was able to lift and trim it with no pain. Much cheaper then having the doctor do it! Reordering to have on hand, gave it 4 stars because no instant relief.

Waste of time and money
I got a pedicure a while back and the moron who did it cut my toenail weirdly and when it started growing back out I guess it was ingrown. I didn't want to pay the $65 a doctor was going to charge me to fix it so I decided to order this. It does nothing, the bandage and pad things are extremely unconfortable, they even cause pain sometimes, the gel smells like sulfur, and it just doesn't work at all. It's supposed to soften the nail so that it stops cutting into the skin and is able to be moved back onto its proper path but it just doesn't do that. Soaking my foot in warm water was more effective and didn't even cost anything but a couple hours.
