Once you go Burt's, you never go back!This is the real deal! I tried them all and then decided to shell out an extra 50 cents to try Burt's original. It has a cool, refreshing peppermint-ish kick that cools your lips and moisturizes. I will never go back or even bother tying any other kinds of lip balm now. This is indeed the best! Amazons under $10 for 4 is better than Walmart by a couple bucks so you might as well get them here. I don't however, like any other of their varieties because they don't refresh your lips anywhere near as well as the original formula does.
A favorite of many, but some downsides to be aware of
Burt's Bees makes good natural body products, and this balm is natural-- mostly beeswax, with sunflower seed oil, mint, vitamin e, lanolin, rosemary, glycerin and canola oil. It goes on rather thick and pasty, and tastes of mint. However, it does not heal the cracks in my lips due to the slightly irritating nature of mint oil (for me) and because I'm slightly sensitive to lanolin, like many people. I find this is not very helpful for my chapped lips, and I prefer other brands. The good thing about this balm is that it stays on and if you are out in the cold, it provides a protective layer due to the beeswax. Many people like this balm, especially men, but I find I'm a bit sensitive to it and it doesn't work well for me.
Not for everyone
My co-worker recommended Burt's, and practically every reviewer loves this balm, but it actually seemed to make my lips worse. This seemed to dry out my lips; my lips peeled a lot more when I used this, and I've tried many lip balms! This and SoftLips are two balms I would never buy, because they just don't work well with my body chemistry. My boyfriend, who's very frugal, bought this even though he could buy cheap 50 cents generic balm, because he likes it that much. That coming from a guy who usually doesn't care if his lips are dry. So I would say it works great for many people, just not me.

Just love this stuffWe happened on Burt's Bees by accident when we went to buy more we thought it was a bit too pricey at Wal-Mart so we when I found this kit on here I snatched it up. The little travel sizes allowed me to sample a lot more of their products. We still love them all they restore moisture to dry hands and feet. Great for dry arid climates or the winter.
Very nice, but smaller than expected
The perfect small gift for a co-worker. If it is for a parent or loved one, you may need to buy another gift to go along with it, maybe buy an additional Burt's Bee's Kit!?
Pamper yourself or those you love
I have bought similar gift sets for women in my life and have heard nothing but praise for Burt's Bees' products. My mother (one of the aforementioned women) has asked me where she can get these products. This is a woman who was once a model and cares very much about what she puts on her skin. I'd recommend Burt's Bees without hesitation.

Natural Healing in No TimeI got a nasty cut on my arm one week prior to knee surgery, and I was worried about the risk of infection. I remembered the Burt's Bee's Res-Q ointment I'd purchased recently, and began applying it several times a day to the cut and applying a Band-Aid. Five or six days later when it came time for my surgery, the cut was fully closed and healing well. I'm not sure the cut healed any faster than if I'd put a topical neosporin/bacitracin ointment on it, but it was reasaurring to know the Burt's Bees ointment was more natural and probably more gentle. My only complaint (and thus the 4 star rating) is the ointment tends to leave a green residue on clothing, so I find I have to wear a Band-Aid if I use it in a location (such as upper arm or knee) that will have clothing brushing up against it.
A must-have in the medicine chest
Not only does this heal minor cuts and other abrasions, it seems to reduce some of the scarring, at least, it did for me. I had a cut on my elbow that was sealed over, and this did wonders to reduce the discoloration and scar to a minimum. Plus, it smells wonderful and feels great. Works as a cuticle cream or fix for a hangnail as well.

I love this stuff. I had bad cold and my nose was red and hurt some much. But I put on the burt bees and my nose felt soooo much better.

I love Burt’s Bees products and I have been able to review some amazing natural items from the company in the past.
