new polishThe sample color is nothing like what is in the bottle. I thought it might be less sheer than it was. It is basically a clear coat with just a slight pink hue.
Clearly NOT Pink
I love Shellac and I am a big fan of light pink & neutrals. I thought this would be a good base for french manicures. It is more of a clear coat that is tinted pink. I really don't see a sheer wash of pink- just shiney clear. I didn't try 3 coats, think I'll stick to Romantic or Negligee for french.

I am a huge CND Shellac fan and one of my biggest complaints is that you cannot tell what color you are going to get until you use the actual polish. I agree with the other reviewer that the bottle is misleading...but it is probably because the bottle must be made of UV protected opaque material to keep it from curing. This color is very clear and has the slightest bit of pink that is barely noticeable. I think it will look good with a french manicure.

Good product!!I bought this along with negligee, top coat and base coat and my nails were gorgeous after just one coat of all. I did a double coat of cream puff and the negligee and found it was better to just do one coat of all. I applied it in the following order: 1.base coat 2.cream puff 3.negligee 4.top coat. I cured it in between each coat and only used alcohol after the base coat and after the top coat. I also did a friends nails and it looked very professional and shiny. I also did my toes about a month ago and had no chipping yet. I had to send the dryer back because I had a problem with it so I'm waiting to redo my toes and they're holding out really good. My hands only lasted a week but that's because I was cleaning and it chipped. But it's better than paying 50 dollars every two weeks!! Removal was easy and my nails were not damaged at all.

I have given myself two french manicures. The white doesn't chip, crack or peel. It holds up well for two weeks

The shellac products in general are not for impatient people, they get "gloppy" fast. I have been doing my own french manicures beautifully for many years and found that by the time I put the cream puff shellac on the tips,even though it would look perfect, as soon as I cured it in my machine it would bubble up and look poorly. I am able to do regular shellac nails with some success (not as nice as when I get them done in the shop but they still last 2 weeks so I'm happy), but I would love to get my money back for the cream puff cause french tips are not working! I know how to do nails, but am not real great with Amazon.com, so don't know how to get $ back for a product without it costing me :( Good luck all

Love CND Shellac ProductsIt helps if you apply a light coat of bonder on the nail bed. Then apply the Shellac base coat and cure. Then the colour coat and cure. Then apply the top coat and cure...turns out perfect every time! After finishing the top coat, you'll notice a slightly tacky finish on your nails.
