Great for trimming cuticles
These are perfect. I have a horrible habit of picking at my cuticles. Any little irregularity in the cuticle starts me picking and pulling at it, which only increases the problem. These sharp, tweezer like nippers are the very best thing I have found for getting rid of anything I want to pick at. I maneuver them to get at places where I find other styles awkward. I highly recommend these if you have similar problems.

CONTROLLED DELIGHT
These are excellent. I thought all cuticle clippers had to have those bulky handles just because no one was making anything different. These squeezy type clippers that are a lot like tweezers feel really natural in the hand and they are super sharp and best of all they give total control. I feel like cuticle maintenance is so easy and fast with these. They are really small like fat tweezers so they take up no space and are really great for travelling. Buy them.. they are excellent.

Another Quality Tweezerman Product - But Beware the Hot Pink Case...
Because I liked the Tweezerman Cuticle Nipper so well, I thought my husband would like this Cuticle and Hangnail Snipper. It is more compact than the nipper and comes with a carrying case - handy for those who travel. As the snipper performs nearly a duplicate function when compared with the nipper and unless one family member travels, I would recommend only purchasing one of the two items - the snipper. The snipper works extremely well; it is sharp and the tip is easy to place at the base of a hangnail. The snipping action of this instrument is much easier than the nipper when working in close areas. I'm not ambidexterous or particularly coordinated, but I've had no trouble using it on both hands. So far, so good... However, the snipper in Amazon's picture was shown with a black case which is what I expected to receive. Be careful on which size you order
The nippers are nice quality. For some reason, I got the impression that 1/4 size meant 1/4". Not so. That size cutting part is ridiculously small. It's more like 1/8". I'd like to return for an exchange for the 1/2 size; but alas, tossed out the package for the nippers and thus can't send back. The 1/2 size is closer to 1/4". Be sure which size you want.

You Get What You Pay For...
After numerous disappointing experiences with grocery store cuticle nippers, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase these Tweezerman Stainless Cuticle Nippers. They were expensive, but the reviews of this product were positive and convinced me that these were the item I was seeking. I was not disappointed when the nippers arrived. They are extremely sharp, very well constructed, and do an excellent job cutting tough cuticles or hangnails. However, I do wish I had chosen the smaller nippers. Having read numerous reviews, I chose the 1/2 inch jaw clippers over the 1/4 inch clippers. Several individuals had stated the smaller nippers were just too small to do a good job. I can only think those individuals must have larger hands, for I found the 1/2 inch nippers to be a bit larger than necessary, for me, and would have been more comfortable with the 1/4 inch set.
